Cold Frame Collective Presents Edmund Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, adapted for the stage by Anthony Burgess.

Cyrano de Bergerac tells the story of a talented poet and swordsman named Cyrano, who is self-conscious about his large nose. Despite his bravery and wit, Cyrano believes his appearance makes him unworthy of love, especially the love of his beautiful and intelligent cousin, Roxane. Instead of confessing his feelings, he helps a handsome but inarticulate soldier, Christian, woo Roxane by providing him with eloquent love letters and speeches. The play explores themes of inner versus outer beauty, unrequited love, and the nature of true heroism. The story has been adapted countless times across various media, highlighting its enduring appeal.
